Interestingly enough, before each fight begins, the player must use the Joy-Cons to simulate activating the R/B Gyro in order to transform. The game has a mobile game-esque star system that rates their successful attack streak. The player repeats these functions of hitting, dodging, and blocking until they finally defeat the enemy Kaiju. During certain action timed events, the player must use the Joy-Cons to simulate and control Rosso/Blu to dodge, attack, and move.
The game utilizes the switch Joy-Cons to function.
